The Fulton County Police Department released a sketch today of one suspect who violently assaulted Dr. Li Yuan, Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of The Epoch Times . The police and FBI said the sketch has been issued to all police departments in the U.S., and they are paying close attention to this case.

Dr. Li Yuan, a Falun Gong practitioner, was assaulted on February 8, 2006 in his own Atlanta home by armed thugs who are suspected to be secret agents of the Chinese communist regime. Dr. Li was immediately taken to a hospital for treatment, receiving 15 stitches in his face.

This assault provides more evidence of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) mafia-style suppression against Falun Gong practitioners overseas.

Dr. Li Yuan and his friends have been long fighting to break the CCP's Internet blockage. Their efforts and contribution to protect the freedom of speech and human rights in China are widely recognized.

This case has received extensive attention. On February 15, U.S. Congressman Dana Rohrabacher introduced Li Yuan's experience in a Congress hearing, calling Dr. Li "a hero of freedom in the U.S." His speech received a long and loud applause.

Dr. Li Yuan said, "Though the CCP regime has tried every means to block websites such as The Epoch Times , CNN , and The New York Times , our anti-blockage technology has given Chinese people a chance to get information from these media channels. With the aid of many people like us, now over 10 million Chinese people have declared to quit Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations."

Dr. Li expressed his gratitude for U.S. Police and the FBI. Meanwhile he appealed to all people with conscience to pay more attention to the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in mainland China.

Dr. Li also said he is not surprised the criminals have not been brought to justice despite all the efforts from the police and FBI. He said the force behind this crime is the CCP, a party that is most skillful in committing and covering up such brutal crimes. Even in US, a land with freedom, the CCP still has sufficient power to cover up the crime. Li said the criminals may have escaped from the U.S. already.

Dr. Li said, "This is why when I first read about the organ harvesting from live Falun Gong practitioners by the CCP, I never doubted the credibility of the report. And for this reason I totally understand why Dr. Wang Wenyi called out to Hu Jintao in such a way. What we are confronted with is an evil and abnormal government that never hesitates to use violence and cheating."

Dr. Li also pointed out when such a government is committing a crime; you cannot expect to obtain solid evidence. He said, "It is not easy for the U.S. police and FBI to solve my case, yet even harder to solve the organ harvesting crime happening in China, a country under the firm claw of the CCP."

Dr. Li said organ harvesting from live Falun Gong practitioners by the CCP regime is a crime against humanity - a crime going far beyond the bottom line of the human conscience. No one should have an excuse to ignore such a crime.

He continued, "I call for help from governments, media, and all people of conscience. I appeal to you to join us and put the inhumane persecution of Falun Gong practitioners to an end. Remember that helping others is helping ourselves, because the world is one big family."
