The New York University Chinese Culture Club (NYUCCC), under the control of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) Consulate, initiated a petition on June 8, 2007 on its website against the International Chinese Dance Competition. Since then, the issue of Chinese Students and Scholars Associations (CSSAs) becoming umbrella organizations of the CCP spies and the heads of CSSAs as spies themselves were put on the table. Dozens of former CSSA chairs and main contact persons openly testified that the CCP Embassies and Consulates manipulated and used CSSAs in various universities to conduct "illegal activities" beyond the scope of their normal diplomatic business. Among them, the Columbia University Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CUCSSA) is the core of the CCP CSSA spy organization. Two of the three CUCSSA advisors are Chinese Consulate officials. The heads of the CUCSSA not only directly follow orders from the Chinese Consulate, but also get fixed incomes from the Consulate, have regular meetings at the Consulate, and implement the CCP's policies outside of China. These people act as agents for the CCP without registering with the U.S. Government, hence have already violated U.S. law. At the same time, former Chinese diplomat in Australia Chen Yonglin took a week-long lecture tour in Canada early in June. He openly named CSSAs as overseas groups controlled by the CCP that act as agents for the CCP outside China. The CCP's spy activities in U.S. have attracted tight attention from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). In mid June, the FBI announced that it would send officers to top U.S. universities to provide training on how to watch out for suspicious activities, which caused stirs on campuses. In early July, the FBI published Chinese advertisements in three Chinese newspapers in San Francisco for a week, encouraging American Chinese to report on CCP spies. CSSA is An Extended Organization of the Chinese Consulate According to former chair of the University of Arizona CSSA Ma Youzhi, before the 1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre, almost all overseas CSSAs were like an extended organization of the Chinese Embassies and Consulates. The Chinese Consulate monitored and managed Chinese students and visiting scholars abroad through CSSA. At the time of the Tiananmen Square Massacre, almost all CSSAs in U.S. condemned the CCP's slaughter. Many CSSAs freed themselves from the CCP's control then and formed the Independent Federation of Chinese Students and Scholars. However, the CCP later bought over some people who were willing to become agents for the CCP, or directly sent spies to take leading roles in CSSA. Many CSSAs were again controlled by the CCP and have become an extended spy organization for the CCP. Two of the three advisors for the CUCSSA come from the CCP's General Consulate in New York. They are the Counselor for Education Fanglin Ai and Consul Da Yao, who is in charge of New York City and Long Island. In mid June 2007,
in order to prevent foreign spies and hidden terrorists from conducting
espionage operations, the FBI announced that they would send agents
to all the major American universities. FBI officials openly admitted
that America's biggest espionage threat comes from China.Back WASHINGTON DC—The Chinese Communist Party is in a state of near collapse under the weight of its moral deterioration, crimes against humanity and the mounting withdrawals from its ranks, said speakers at a mass rally held on July 20 at the Washington Monument in DC. The rally, followed by a parade through downtown Washington, was organized to celebrate the 24 million Chinese who have renounced their ties to the CCP or its affiliated organizations over the last 2.5 years since the Quit the CCP movement began. Dr David Gao, Co-founder and President of the Global Service Centre for Quitting the CCP that co-sponsored the event, described the peaceful yet powerful process of the communist regime's disintegration. The Chinese people carry "5000 years of glorious history and great moral standing," said Gao, adding that they were now emerging from the "terror and fear" of living under the CCP. "They are using the most peaceful, most rational and most efficient way to thoroughly abandon and disintegrate the CCP, namely by withdrawing from its organizations," he said in his address to a crowd of several thousand. The quit the CCP movement has its origins in The Epoch Times' editorial series, The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, which revealed for the first time to the Chinese population the full extent of the atrocities committed by the CCP throughout its history. Many of the rally's line-up of statesmen, academics, democracy advocates and former communists talked about these crimes. Timothy Cooper, Executive Director of Worldrights, conducted a mock trial of the CCP declaring it time for the regime "to stand before the bar and answer for its crimes." He placed on the stand to testify the millions upon millions of victims of successive persecution campaigns including journalists, doctors, all intellectuals, students of Tiananmen Square and Falun Gong practitioners. Falun Gong is currently the victim of one of the worst persecutions in history, noted several speakers including Dr. Damon J. Noto from Doctors against Organ Harvesting. Dr. Noto talked about the significant evidence that the recent transplantation boom in China is built on "unethical and unacceptable medical practices," namely that the CCP is killing imprisoned Falun Gong practitioners to sell their organs. "It is alarming how tens of thousands of transplantations were performed in the recent years in China without having a public organ donation program in place. It is implausible how transplantations can be scheduled in advance" and on short notice without any organ donation program, explained Dr Noto. Significantly,
the day's events also coincided with the eighth anniversary of the
CCP's brutal suppression of the Falun spiritual practice."The
darkness fears being exposed to the light, and every voice is a beacon
of hope, illuminating every shadow in China's darkest dens,"
said a solemn but hopeful Ms Xiaodan Wang from Texas who is fighting
for her imprisoned father's freedom and freedom for all Falun Gong
practitioners and persecuted people in China.
Back Faced with the embarrassing issue of exported toothpaste containing poisonous chemicals, China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) has made many conflicting statements in the last few days. On July 10, AQSIQ repeatedly emphasized that Chinese toothpastes containing Diglycol are harmless and even accused the international community of slandering Chinese products in an attempt to cause trade wars. The following day, they even went as far to claim that the quality of Chinese food exports is higher than American food. Why is AQSIQ making these contradictory statements? And more importantly for the safety of the international community, can communist China control the poison in its export products? From Diglycol
to More Deadly Poisons Since the news broke, the quality of Chinese export products has been under intense scrutiny. Many more poisoned products made in China are being exposed and taken off the market after health problems and even deaths have occurred. Welcome to the
Real World—Safety Before Profit In retaliation to these new safety standards communist China's mouthpiece, Xinhua News Agency accuses the new regulation as a trade barrier for Chinese products and it may as well be considered an anti-dumping policy for export products from China. Today's Communist Ideology—Getting Rich is the Opiate of the Masses China's first Director of State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA), Zheng Xiaoyu, was executed on July 10 for bribery and dereliction of duty. The deputy director, Wu Zhen, specifically clarified that it was a rumor that "Zheng Xiaoyu approved 10,000, it was really 11,086." Eleven times more than approved in the United States during the last ten years. However, what the deputy did not make clear was that the 1,113 new drugs approved by Zheng "because of bribery" was almost the total number that the US Food and Drug Administration had approved in the last 10 years. In the Wall Street Journal report, "Made in China," the author quoted a common understanding which explains the current problems in China, "Now that many Chinese have lost faith in communist ideology, getting rich has, in a sense, become the national religion." In China this
can be now proved by a common answer given by the masses when one
is questioned for doing immoral things-the answer is, "How much
a kilo for morality?" Back Note, the video footage is at end of this article. A flying dragon was recently seen in the infra-red security camera of a residential building in western China. On July 10, Chengdu Television in China's Sichuan province broadcast footage showing a dragon-like creature swiftly entering the screen and then flying away. The footage was said to be shot on July 6 by the infra-red security camera of a residential building in Chengdu. The dragon-like creature is seen coming out from the building's front door and flying toward the lower right hand corner of the camera. Since the camera was fixed, it was not able to shoot where the dragon went. A resident in Chengdu who does not want to be identified said she recorded the footage of the flying dragon from Chengdu Television's Good Morning Chengdu and made copies of it in order to spread the news. According to this resident, the original footage has been destroyed as ordered by Chinese authorities. Another resident said that he seldom watches TV, but when he found out about the re-broadcasting of the flying-dragon footage he was determined to watch it. Chengdu Television re-broadcast the footage many times, according to him. "My whole
family saw this amazing scene!" he exclaimed. Back An advertisement by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) aimed at Chinese-speaking residents of San Francisco's Bay Area, ran from July 2 through July 8 in three local Chinese-language newspapers, seeking information about Chinese espionage to the United States. The ad said that the FBI would especially welcome anyone who has information about the Chinese Ministry of State Security to contact their office. This news has had strong repercussions among Chinese authorities. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman, Qin Gang said on July 10 that the FBI ad had harmed bilateral relations and friendship between the two peoples, adding that Chinese authorities wanted to express its "indignation and resolute opposition" to the FBI's action. Mr. Schadler, the FBI’s spokesperson said that advertising in the local newspapers could help spread this message and would enable the FBI to reach more people. He said, "To adequately protect our nation, we need members of the community to act as the eyes and ears for law enforcement; and to be the everyday guardians of freedom, justice and democracy." Many CCP Spying Cases Exposed Caoan Jushi pointed out that many CCP spy cases have been exposed in recent years. Many of them have been caught up in Silicon Valley and charged with espionage. One example he mentioned was Meng Xiaodong, who was charged in theft of military secrets in December 2006. The indictment said Chinese engineer Meng Xiaodong stole military combat and commercial simulation software and other materials from his former employer Quantum3D Inc. of San Jose, to sell to China, Malaysia and Thailand. He was found guilty by a jury in May 2007 and faces a sentence of 55 years. The case is the third foreign economic espionage indictment in the U.S. since the enactment of the Economic Espionage Act of 1996. In another case, Martin Shih, founder of Night Vision Technology in Cupertino, and San Jose businessman Philip Cheng have been suspected of traveling to China in 2001 and 2002 to illegally sell state-of-the-art thermal imaging equipment. West Coast the Target of CCP Espionage Analysts said that California, due to its pleasant weather and beautiful landscape, has a high concentration of high-tech industries and a dense population of Asian-Americans. Approximately five million Asian-Americans live in California, about one third of the total Asian-American population of the U.S. Therefore the West Coast has became the prime territory for CCP espionage. The CCP has not only developed its agents in San Francisco and Los Angeles, but has also purchased Chinese and English media to control the Chinese communities and infiltrate mainstream American society. In addition, the CCP has placed many commercial and military spies in Silicon Valley, which was described by the FBI as "the biggest espionage threat to the U.S." California has then become the primary target for the FBI to accomplish their counter-espionage mission. The Chinese spy cases highlight the CCP's role as the main adversary in a complex game of 21st-century espionage where many agents aren't trained spies in trench coats but businessmen, students and researchers. Back Kidnap
Case Exposed by Chinese Defector Back In a startling revelation, former diplomat Chen Yonglin spoke of a woman kidnapped from New Zealand in 2005 and taken by ship back to China. Chen said the woman, a permanent resident of New Zealand, was "valuable" to the Chinese authorities. He would not disclose her name or other personal details until he had spoken to the New Zealand police-"if they were interested." Chen, a diplomat at the Consulate-General in Sydney, defected in 2005 and has continued to release damning information of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) workings. He has spoken of a network of 1,000 spies operating in Australia for the communist regime and said they are also active in New Zealand. During yesterday's press conference Chen named organizations in New Zealand working as fronts for the Chinese Embassy. He said the United Chinese Association of New Zealand was the "umbrella organisation being sponsored and set up by the Chinese Embassy here in New Zealand to control the Chinese people here." The New Zealand Council for Promotion of Peaceful Unification of China is another organisation whose headquarters are in China, said Chen. University groups such as UNCIS were also backed by the CCP and often held meetings at the Chinese Embassy, said Chen. Their purpose, he said, was to use the Chinese community to monitor and gather information, and infiltrate the "five dissident groups". "The number one enemy of the Chinese regime is Falun Gong." Following this group are democracy advocates, pro-independence for Taiwan activists, pro-independence of Tibet activists and Uighers. He said the groups are part of a complex propaganda and influence strategy set up in 2002 to influence Oceania countries. "The Chinese people are brainwashed to serve the Chinese Communist Party." New Zealanders are largely unaware of the extent of the human rights abuses occurring in China, as well as the level of penetration and influence of the CCP in New Zealand, Chen said. "In New Zealand, there is very little awareness of the danger of communism. This is a regime with a history of killing." Chen said the New Zealand government has been praised by the CCP for not putting much pressure on them around human rights issues. Talking about human rights with the CCP was "useless" he said, and questioned whether a free trade agreement was worth it or not to New Zealanders.Back |
